Snow Days January 24, 2008

I’ve discovered a new form of exercise that they don’t have in Texas.  Shoveling snow. Thank goodness my brother Glenn comes by when the snows hit and scrapes my driveway.  What a great brother and he works for baked goods! So most of the time I only have to scrape a pathway across the rear deck, down the stairs and out to the yard for the 4 legged kidz so they can find that special spot in the yard.  How would you feel if you had to lower your butt into a 3 foot snowdrift?  And of course the State snowplows do a wonderful job of keeping Hwy 73 out front free from snow.  Its just that they shove about 4 feet of snow in front of my driveway.  It took me 2 days to knock out an escape route.

Chris, my cousin ran around with her Texas plates for about 10 years so I don’t think it is a local LE priority. Besides how are the locals going to keep track of the ‘outsider’?

I think I’m ready. Just made the football cake today for the freezer and will decorate Sat. Have the cheese & meat. You can never go wrong with cheese and meat. Thanks for the menu idea Chris.
